Ladies and gentlemen,

Good afternoon and welcome to Caturday as it’s always meant to be. Clearly I have no intention of relinquishing my grasp on Nicole’s computer and instead am addressing you myself. Loki and I believe it has been too long since our silly human has given us the chance to let you know how things are going on this end and finally have put all our kitty paws down.

It’s getting hot down here in central Florida and we’ve insisted Nicole keep the air running for us most of the time. Loki has it much worse than I do with all of his long fur (we have been reminding her to keep Loki well brushed). He’s shedding more than I’ve ever seen since he joined our family.

We’ve done a lot of lounging as it’s much too hot to do much else. She rearranged all of the furniture recently so I have been trying to decide where my favorite perch is and Loki likes to steal all of them from me (I’ll show you pictures next week). Mostly we get along though and are able to share pretty well.

Anyhow, it’s about time for me to get back to my nap and Loki keeps looking at my like he needs some help cleaning himself (man, he’s so needy!) so I’ll cut this off. But be sure that there is no way we are going to let Nicole dominate this blog’s time as she has been for the last few months. I mean, come on- do you want photos of cute kitties or her silly food stuffs? The answer is obvious enough that I don’t even need you to answer.

So we’ll talk to you later people of the internet and look forward to hearing from you!

My dear readers,

Nicole insisted that I introduce myself to you all. I told her no. Obviously, somehow, I’ve lost. But! Do not get used to this. Loki is the social one, and it’s not that I don’t want to know all of you, it’s just that my Caturdays are my Caturdays.

Either way, let me get this over with. My name is the Black Frost (after the Norse giants), but you can call me Frost or Basement Cat. I’ve been living with Nicole since she adopted me on April 10th, 2006. I was a measly eight weeks old and she could hold me in the palm of her hand. I have grown quite a lot in the last five years, and weigh in at a healthy 12 pounds.

I love catnip, catnaps, pushing things off tables, walking over sleeping human bodies (especially Scott), chasing bugs, milk, cheese, and roleplaying as my inner panther. Please see below.

I don’t think there’s much more for me to say. I am going to go back to minding my own Caturday. If you have anything else you want to know just ask Nicole. I have the sinking feeling I won’t be getting away from this forever. Enjoy your weekend, everyone.
